Biography

Skyler received his Bachelors in Fine Art from California State Long Beach in 2005. After graduating from Long Beach he attended Art Center at night and studied under The Clayton Brothers, Tom Knechtel, and Bob Meiner. He has worked as a Clothing designer for Fyasko, the lead painter for Immortal Masks, currently paints for Sinthetics and assists Josh Mayhem Toys. Skyler’s art is a mix of figurative with pop surrealism and a dash of sacred geometry. Mostly inspired by an attempt to articulate philosophical, theological, and spiritual concepts in an allegorical way. Many of the ideas are pulled from images first seen in meditation. He uses bright colors and iconography to stimulate the visual field and simultaneously stoke curiosity.
